Liz Micklewright: Showroom Designer/Coordinator, Headington
Liz's background is in sales, which she really enjoys and it enables her to use her skills, performing well in the role of showroom designer/coordinator. Having been with Blanchford for many years, Liz has a great relationship with many customers who have also been coming to the company for a long time and they are in return, recommending Blanchford to their friends and family. Known for her fantastic sales skills and personable nature, Liz was headhunted by Blanchfords management 11 years ago to open up and run the new kitchen and bathroom showroom at Headington. She has been with the company ever since and has the privilege of seeing it grow and expand over the years.
Liz manages many different types of customers through the showroom doors. They can be interior designers, property developers or homeowners. They work closely together as a team, playing to each other's strengths and they pride themselves on the after-sales service, going that extra mile for their customers. After all, they are only happy to supply a product which looks good, performs well and is backed up by excellent after-sales care. Liz offers an excellent level of customer service and continue to be an integral part of the business on a daily basis.
Ben Nunn, Branch Manager, Headington
Branch manager Ben Nunn, has been with Blanchfords for several years. He is very hands on in his approach and liaises with staff and customers alike. It is very important to Ben, that a strong relationship is formed with customers and a high level of service is maintained.
Ben is dedicated to his job, rising to the challenges that running a busy branch entails.
Ben, is aided by sales supervisor, Scott Mustoe. Scott, has a long standing career with Blanchfords, having worked in various departments within the company.
Michael Tighe, Sales Office – Plumbing & Heating, Headington
Loyalty and commitment runs very strongly through Michael’s veins. He’s been with Blanchford for over 30 years, all of that time spent serving customers on the sales counter and providing a high standard of service.
Building up relationships with customers is what keeps him coming into work everyday. That, along with the variety of the role, is the essence of Michael’s job. He’s amassed a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of plumbing and heating supplies, able to advise customers and keep himself and them up to date with all that’s new in the industry.
Martin Farrell, Hire Direct, Headington
Martin was part of the team that established the Hire Direct arm of Blanchford 13 years ago. In the intervening time, he’s seen this side of the business go from strength to strength and the company now hires out a multitude of different machines, from a large digger right down to a sander.
Martin sees many types of customers come and go through the Hire Direct yard – general builders who need to hire a machine to excavate a floor or clear a driveway, through to the couple who want to sand their wooden floor back and need the right device to do it.
With many machines for hire being large investment pieces for the company, it’s vital that the right machine is bought in the first place and that it is well-maintained throughout its life. Martin is instrumental in making this process run like clockwork, keeping the Hire Direct team of 5 motivated and energised, looking after customers and maintaining the machines in good working order.
